Measured on this block in Jul-Sep 2026 — the ceiling the hotel's WiFi sits under. Shared WiFi, captive portals and per-device caps only make it slower, never faster.

Fixed line vs mobile
| Network | Down | Up | Ping |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fixed broadband — what the WiFi runs on | 231.4 | 51.6 | 11 |
| Mobile — your own SIM | 175.8 | 62.5 | — |
Your SIM may beat the WiFi. Mobile upload here (62.5 Mbps) tests higher than the fixed line — worth trying both before you rearrange your day around the room WiFi.

Country- and ISP-level outages, not hotel-level. A national outage takes the hotel with it; the hotel's own router failing will never show here.
